John Joseph CRUISE, b. in Ireland; m. Mary Ann MOORE (who was b. circa 1835 [age 45 in 1880] in Ireland). John J. CRUISE appearently died before 1880, as Mary Ann is enumerated in the U.S. census that year without him, residing in the second ward of Lambertville, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. They had six known children, five of whom (John J., 20; Thomas E., 18; Mary E., 14; Barcly, 10; and Catherine, 8) were then living with her in 1880:

Bartley Bartholemew CRUISE, b. 12 July 1869 in Philadephia; m. Nellie Veronica FLOOD on 14 June 1899 in Lambertville, Hunterdon County, New Jersey; d. 10 April 1924 in Lambertville; bur. 14 April 1924 in St. John's Cemetery. They had a total of eight children:
