NEWBURGH - Janesa E. Martinez, a 1989 graduate of Monticello High School, completed her masters degree in special education from Mt. Saint Mary's College, Newburgh, in June. After completing a bachelor of science degree at Russell Sage College, Troy, in 1993, Janesa accepted a position teaching 10th grade biology at Monroe-Woodbury High School, Central Valley.

Her sister and brother, Carolina and Eddie Rue, graduated Monticello High School, also in June. Carolina is a scholarship recipient at Ithaca College, where she has been accepted to study sports medicine and compete on the cross-country team this fall. Eddie has registered at Sullivan County Community College, Loch Sheldrake, to major in business.

They are the children of Carmen and Thomas Rue of Monticello.
