Monticello Freemasons host barbeque

MONTICELLO, N.Y. A chicken barbeque will be held on Sunday, August 17, from 12 noon to 4:00 P.M., at the Mongaup Game Preserve, Creamery Rd., Mongaup Valley. This major annual event, hosted by Monticello Lodge #532 of Free and Accepted Masons, has drawn a crowd of several hundred over each of the last 20 years.

Proceeds will go toward Masonic activities over the coming year, including camp and academic scholarships for area youth, a veteran's' program, child identification project, "Drug Free Zone" signs for local school districts, and blood research at the Masonic Home and Research Center in Utica.

Barbequed chicken, salads, bread, rolls, hot dogs, beans, sauerkraut, sausage, peppers, corn, watermelon, and beverages will be served.
