Monticello tally
MONTICELLO -- Incumbent Democratic mayor Robert Friedland was defeated by Republican James Kenny in Monticello village elections on March 19.
Unnofficial results show Kenny with 641 votes, and Friedland with 460.
In the two trustee elections, Republican David Rosenberg defeated Democrat John Barbarite, 613-458, and Republican Monis Brafman defeated Democrat Alvin Dumas, 534-486.
As of The River Reporter's press time, there were still some 200 affidavit votes to be counted.
