A dentist in Narrowsburg
- NARROWSBURG - Residents of Narrowsburg and its environs will soon have a dental practice in their community. Drs. Kunwar Nagpal and Ram Phull, who presently operate offices in Eldred and Port Jervis, will open here at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23rd. The new Bridge Street office is located next door to Kelly's Home for Adults, in the former Downes residence.
- Nagpal received his dental training at the University of Bombay (India), where he graduate second in his class in 1974. Two weeks ago he was the subject of a River Reporter "profile" by Barbara Yeaman.
- Asked why he picked Narrowsburg as the site of his most recent expansion, Nagpal replied, "We have a lot of friends in Narrowsburg -- they chose us!"
- He indicated that he had received strong support for the idea of moving here from the Tusten Lions.
- Club president Jay Stewart exclaimed, "We gotta have a dentist here!" Stewart said that the idea for a local dentist was first discussed at the "Project '85" Lions health fair, where the husband and wife dental team offered screenings for oral cancer.
- Nagpal said that there will be an open house at the new office on Sunday, September 21st from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., with "refreshments under the big top" in the back yard. To make a dental appointment, call 914/252-3951.
