Monticello Masons install ‘03-‘04 officers

MONTICELLO – A public installation of officers for the year 2003-2004 will be held by Monticello Lodge #532 on the evening of Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, 2003, at 5 Bank Street, Monticello. Prior to the ceremony, a complementary dinner will be served at 6:30 PM. The installation will begin at 8:00 PM and will commence with a display of the flag by a color guard of Masonic war veterans in observance of the day.
At the lodge’s annual election held on May 12th, Ernie Marchino of Monticello was elected to be Worshipful Master, with Samuel “Moish” Kleinberger of Liberty as Senior Warden and James Wall of Bethel as Junior Warden. John Wells of Milford and Charles Paty of Mongaup Valley were re-elected as lodge Secretary and Treasurer respectively. Lawrence Lagarenne of Monticello was re-elected Trustee of the Lodge, to continue serving in that capacity along with Ralph Breakey of Swinging Bridge and James McDowell of Harris. These are the elected offices of a Masonic lodge, outgoing Master Thomas Rue explained, noting that the remaining offices will be filled by appointments made by the incoming Master at a time of his choosing.
