Masons roast Arthur C. Glueck for years of service

LIBERTY – Arthur Glueck of Loch Sheldrake was honored by Fallsburg Lodge #1122 on the 10th anniversary of his service to that Lodge as Master. In addition to being presented with a plaque on June 13th “in recognition of his dedicated service, and devotion, to this Lodge and to the Craft," Glueck received a lapel pin and a large certificate from the Grand Lodge of New York for his 55 years of membership pin the Masonic fraternity. He was then “roasted” by more than 20 speakers who recalled with pleasure the years they have known and worked with Glueck.

The event took place at the Liberty Masonic Temple.

In the same program, Glueck presented a Past Master’s apron to Gilbert Barber who served as Master of Fallsburg Lodge for the year 1999-2000. Glueck said that he “raised” Barber himself, meaning that he sponsored him and personally assisted in the symbolic ritual ceremony in which Barber became a member of the Masonic fraternity.

In addition to members of several local Masonic lodges, the program was attended by about two dozen members of the Loch Sheldrake Seniors, of which Glueck is an active members. After spending most of their lives in Sullivan County, Glueck and his wife Lillian plan on relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada in a few weeks.
