PennDOT poster session 4-25-24
Meet and greet session between PennDOT and AECOM officials and an estimated 100 or more Pennsylvanians and neighboring New Yorkers whose communities are severed and harmed by the loss of this vital and historic bridge. The "poster session" was punctuated by a group shot for news photographers of two dozen or so river valley residents holding a banner that was brought in for the occasion by Beverly Sterner, with Barbara Arindell, director of Damascus Citizens for Sustainability, seated at the front and center of the crowd (photo not yet available here). Several in the crowd chanted in support of "traditional" rehabilitation of the bridge, asking PennDOT and Wayne County regional planners to elevate the priority and funds given to this neglected public infrastructure project.
