A few years ago, I read in one sitting the autobiography of Isadora Duncan, My Life. Isadora is known in many circles as the mother of modern dance. Her story left a lasting impression and public mentions of this unusual artist always catch my attention. The full text, along with some related materials, can be downloaded from the "Humanism" folder in the Library section of this website.
Here's an interesting snippit of a video on an area newspaper's website showing a rendition of her Scroll of Life as performed by dancers from the Isadora Duncan International Institute.
