Proud of His Wife,
-- a former Tucumcari Girl
Editor Tucumcari News,
Tucumcari, New Mexico.
Dear Sir: -- Inclosed find two-bits for which you may send the Tucumcari News to Opal Rue for one month.
Since she is a native of your arid city, I'll give you a news item
concerning her that will be of interest to her friends therabouts.
She was formerly Opal Brooks, daughter of Mrs. B.L. Lightfoot, 214 East High street, and a student of sorts at Tucumcari Junior high school.
This past winter she has been a student at Cleveland Central Academic high school andon the honor roll, making in English the highest grade in her
class. Furthermore, in applied art she has shown outstanding ability and
was one of three chosen from more than 500 art students to attend special
class drawn from the high schools all over the city in drawing from life
conducted by the Cleveland school of art at the main Library studio.
If she lives up to her art teachers' expectations Tucumcari may some day lay claim to having produced an artist as well as quarreling citizenry.
Her husband,
A.H. Rue
