Subject: Great Grandfather Charles Spector

Dear Mr. Rue,

I was able to get these pictures of my family from my cousin, Fred Gnesin.

I had to send the whole group as a pdf file.

The picture to the left is my Great Grandfather.

There is a picture of him in front of his "West end Cigar Store and Pool Room" in Somerville, N.J. circa the 1880's. He is the man on the right. We don't know the identity of the other man.

My grandfather, also Charles was quite an accomplished pool player, having played against such legends as Willie Mosconi and Irving Crane.

My great grandfather was born July, 1859 in Russia and immigrated to the US in 1882. His wife was Ada, born 1861. She was also from Russia.

They had six children, two born in New York and the rest in New Jersey.

IN 1900 they were living on West Main Street in Somerville, Bridgewater Township,NJ.

SO it seems that my great grandfather was the gentleman who vouched for your ancestor Barnett Woldin.

The others pictures include my Great grandmother, upper left.....

The man to the immediate left on the second row is my grandfather. The middle pictures are my Uncle Isaac Gnesin and his wife Dorothy Gnesin. formerly Spector My Aunt.

The last picture may be my great great grandfather and grandmother with my great grandfather Charles.

I hope you can use this information and am very happy I was finally able to get it to you.

I know little of your family, but if you wish to enlighten me so I may have a better understanding of our family relationships past and present, I would be very grateful.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Frederick Joseph Spector
