February 2, 1983 To Whom It May Concern:
I have been asked to write a recommendation for Mr. Bud Rue, Mathematics Department Chairperson at Lawrence Junior High School. I have worked with Mr. Rue on a number of curriculum projects and a number of different committees. I have been most impressed with his performance.
He has analyzed the New Jersey MBS test results for the district for the last several years, served on a minimum graduation requirements committee, developed criteria and a process for entrance into the mathematics honors program, wrote and revised curriculum guides in mathematics and has worked extensively with developing computer literacy materials and integrating computers into mathematics instruction.
He has served well as department chairperson, performing efficiently the many tasks of this responsibility. He also is the junior high school representative to the district's Mathematics Curriculum Council. I have appreciated his ideas and insights as the Council analyzes plans and coordinates K-12 mathematics improvement. He has always been prepared.
While I have never observed Mr. Rue in the classroom, I have been particularly impressed with his concern and sensitivity for the students he serves.
Should anyone wish to discuss Mr. Rue's performance further, please feel free to contact me. I highly recommend him to you.
Sincerely,
Dr. Bruce R. McGraw
