Carolina Rue in Who's Who Among American High School Students

MONTICELLO - Carolina P. Rue, 17, has been selected for honorary award recognition and inclusion in Who's Who Among American High School Students, according to publisher Paul C. Krouse of Lake Forest, Illinois.

The daughter of Thomas and Carmen Rue of Monticello, Carolina is a member of the class of 1998 of Monticello High School (MHS). She was recently inducted to the National Honor Society, and is a member of the Interact Club.

A leading athlete on the MHS outdoor and indoor track, cross-country and modified teams throughout her high school and middle school careers and presently completing her junior year, Carolina has consistently maintained greater than a 3.5 grade point average. In addition to part-time employment in a local restaurant, for three of her teenage years Carolina performed volunteer work with disabled children at Sullivan Diagnostic Treatment Center in Harris.

Carolina's older sister, Mrs. Janesa Walter, is a tenured teacher of biology at Monroe-Woodbury High School; and a twin brother, Eduardo C. Rue.
