Habitat for Humanity halloween brunch

MONTICELLO - Habitat for Humanity of Sullivan County is moving along toward its goal of affiliating as a local chapter of HFH International, thanks to an ongoing series of fund-raising events.

Pictured above, in Halloween garb, at an October 29 brunch at Rocky's Restaurant, Monticello, is HFH assistant secretary and event organizer Carmen Rue with restaurant owner Rocky Morelli. Rue said she was pleased with the proceeds of the event and thanked participants for making it a success.

Other events this summer included a chicken barbecue, booths at local fairs, followed by participation in the third annual Bud Rue Memorial Walk for Social Justice in October.
