MONTICELLO GETS HUD GRANT

MONTICELLO - A neighborhood in the Village of Monticello will benefit from a $400,000 housing rehabilitation grant by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), according to a September 29 announcement issued by mayor Robert Friedland.

The money is to be used for improvements to the vicinity of High St., said Friedland.

He acknowled the assistance of Senator Daniel Moynihan in securing the funds for Monticello.
