BREASTFEEDING COUNSELORS HAVE LUNCH

NEW WINDSOR - "A day with Kittie Frantz, R.N., CPNP" will be hosted by the Lactation Consortium of Orange, Sullivan and Ulster Counties. Krantz is director of The Breastfeeding Infant Clinic, and a clinical instructor in pediatrics at the University of Southern California Medical Center, Los Angeles.
The 8-hour training -- also to include lunch and exhibits -- will cover "counseling skills and breastfeeding techniques beneficial to the breastfeeding mother and her family."

"PARENTS FOR PARENTS" MEETS
AT THREE SITES

LIBERTY - A support group called Parents For Parents (PFP), for anyone whose children have emotional difficulties, regularly hosts discussion meetings in Liberty and Monticello. Expert speakers are often featured.
Family court Judge Mark M. Meddaugh will describe the operation of Sullivan County's juvenile justice and child welfare systems on March 2nd, 7 to 8:30 P.M., at the BOCES administration building, Ferndale-Loomis Rd., Liberty.
An "Overview of ADD and ADHD: classroom and home strategies" is set for March 6, 7:00 to 8:30 P.M., also at BOCES, with Tammy Ebert, coordinator of the Wayne-Pike chapter of Children With Hyperactivity and Attention Deficit Disorder (CHADD).
Regular meetings are held first and third Thursdays at the Liberty Parks & Rec Building on North Main St. Sessions in Monticello are slated for February 28, March 14, and April 18 at 217 Broadway, a press release said.
Childcare and refreshments are available at no charge.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY TO ELECT OFFICERS

ROCK HILL - A steering committee in the process of forming a Sullivan County local affiliate chapter of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) will meet March 4, 1:00 P.M., at the Church of the Nazarene, 49 Katrina Falls Rd., Rock Hill.
Anyone interested in serving on the board of directors of the fledgling organization is invited to attend.
Agenda items will include election of directors and officers, and consideration of a draft Certificate of Incorporation for filing in Albany. Reports will also be made on the status of affiliation with HFHI, and on finances.
