Monticello snowfall

MONTICELLO - High winds dumped 12 to 18" of snow on central Sullivan County, including the Village of Monticello on February 4th. Few motor vehicle accidents were reported, as municipal highway crews and contracters toiled hard through the night to make way for motorists.

A 16-year-old boy was transported from Holiday Mountain Ski Hill to Community General Hospital by Rock Hill Ambulance Corps after a back injury at 2:45 P.M. on the 4th. The hill closed early because of road conditions.

Also on the Saturday afternoon, a woman was treated reported to be hemorrhaging at the corner of Hurd and Prince roads in Bethel. Sullivan EMS responded.
