River School open house

MILANVILLE - Parents interested in alternative education for their children may attend an open house at the River School, a parent-run Montessori elementary school in Milanville, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on November 2.

Teachers will answer questions about the school, and videos on the Montessori method and school renovations will be shown.

A program of live music for children starts at 1:00 p.m. Other activities include cider pressing, a turkey raffle, and a parent-student game of "riverball". Coffee, snacks and home-baked goodies will be served. Presently in its first year of operation with 16 students, the River School is sponsored by the Upper Delaware Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, with meets at 11:00 a.m. in Milanville every Sunday.
