    Summer youth program

    CALLICOON - The Delaware Community Center is open and will soon be fully operational for summer activity. Brimming and freshly painted, the main and baby pools are scheduled to open July 7, the board of trustees announced at its meeting Tuesday night.
    The summer youth program, including organized sports, arts and crafts, and other structured activities, will also start July 7. Contact program directory Andy Ranaudo to register at 914/932-xxxx.
    A bus trip to Atlantic City, NJ is scheduled for July 7. Three fourths of the $20 round-trip fare will be refunded upon arrival at the casinos.
    A "family festival" to benefit the center is planned for Saturday, August 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with games, fun, music, and live entertainment for old and young.
    Contributions are being sought for an auction which will be held sometime in the fall. Barry Schuchman at 914/887-xxxx is coordinating the collection.
    Volunteers to help out at the center, or on any of the projects or programs, are encouraged to cal the caretakers, Bill and Sue Hennig at 914/887-xxxx.
