Village trustee candidate Gordon Jenkins seeks
Monticello Democrats support in this Tuesday’s primary

MONTICELLO – A Democratic primary election will be held in the Village of Monticello, this Tuesday, January 25, 2004, at the Monticello Neighborhood Facility, Jefferson Street, Monticello, from 12:00 Noon to 9:00 PM. Only registered Democrats in Monticello may vote in the selection of their party’s candidate in March’s general election for a Trustee seat to fill the remainder of the unexpired term of a board member who resigned several months ago.

Gordon Jenkins, a lifelong Democrat, Monticello native, and proprietor of G-Man Clothing and Cosmetics of Monticello, is asking for the support of Democratic voters. The village’s general election will be held on March 15th. “I’ll be pleased to carry my party’s banner in March,” said Mr. Jenkins, offering hope for improved services and more public accountability at Village Hall.

Democrats in Monticello in need of a ride to the polls on Tuesday may call (845) 791-6855.

Mr. Jenkins is presently collecting signatures to earn a second line on March’s ballot, as well. Monticello voters of any party affiliation interested in supporting Jenkins candidacy are invited to call him at the above numbers to offer help or support, or to offer their thoughts on public issues.
