Innisfree Corp. holds annual meeting at Milanville

The annual meeting of Corporation took place at Camp Innisfree in Milanville on Saturday, Nov. 27. There was considerable discussion of next summer's educational program for junior high age teenagers in need of enrichment in certain basic academic skills.
Clyde B. Rue, who chaired the meeting, explained that Project Success, as the math and reading clinic is called, have better than a three-to-one staff ratio, There are currently openings for councilors, as well as professional staff, a cook, a handyman, and two kitchen/grounds helpers. It is hoped that some pesitions will be filled by local residents.
The meeting was attended. by P. Clarke Maylone and his wife Joni, visiting from the Washington, D.C. area. Maylone was a co-founder of Innisfree in 1970, and is a past vice-president of the corporation and now the director of a national association of non-profit organizations, serves as an honorary trustee on Innisfree's board of directors. Re-elected as trustees were. Dr. Margaret, Copeland, Ed.D., professor of early childhood education at Rider College, Lawrenceville, N.J.; horticulturist Carol A. Prickett and her well-driller John; Ann Rue, the executive director of a day care center; her husband, Clyde B. ("Bud") Rue, who teaches math in a public junior high school; Thomas S. Rue, a full-time student about to graduate in the field of psychology, and president of the Society for Historical Education, Inc.; and Robert Woldin, a high school guidance counselor. Clyde B. Rue, Ann Rue, and Thomas S. Rue were re-elected for additional terms as president, vice-president/treasurer, and corporate secretary, respectively.
In order to outfit the summer program, Innisfree is seeking charitable contributions of such items as a ping-pong table, athletic and river equipment books, furniture, office equipment and supplies, carpeting, or virtually anything else which could be of value or enjoyed by teenagers. Donations such as these, just like cash, are tax-deductible, and will be gratefully acknowledged in writing.
