An American Cruise lineage

I.

John Joseph CRUISE, b. in Ireland; m. Mary Ann MOORE (who was b. circa 1835 [age 45 in 1880] in Ireland). John J. CRUISE appearently died before 1880, as Mary Ann is enumerated in the U.S. census that year without him, residing in the second ward of Lambertville, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. They had six known children, five of whom (John J., 20; Thomas E., 18; Mary E., 14; Barcly, 10; and Catherine, 8) were then living with her in 1880:

  • John Joseph CRUISE, age 20 1880, b. in Ireland; m. Julia Ann MACELROY.
  • Thomas E. CRUISE, age 18 1880, b. in Dublin, Ireland.
  • Mary Jane Ellen CRUISE, b. 2 September 1862 in County Longford, Ireland; m. Thomas Ireland BAINES.
  • Bartley Bartholemew CRUISE, b. 12 July 1869 in Philadelphia, Pennslyvania; m. Nellie Veronica FLOOD on 14 July 1899 in Bethlehem, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
  • Catherine CRUISE, age 8 1880, b. in Pennsylvania.
  • Ella CRUISE.

    Bartley Bartholemew CRUISE, b. 12 July 1869 in Philadephia; m. Nellie Veronica FLOOD on 14 June 1899 in Lambertville, Hunterdon County, New Jersey; d. 10 April 1924 in Lambertville; bur. 14 April 1924 in St. John's Cemetery. They had a total of eight children:

  • Thomas CRUISE, b. 17 January 1900 in Lambertville, New Jersey; d. 22 November 1912 in Lambertville
  • "Baby Boy" CRUISE, stillborn 19 December 1901 in Lambertville and bur. in the family plot in St. John's Cemetery (cause of death listed as "difficult labor")
  • William Bernard CRUISE, b. 12 October 1903 in Lambertville; m. 12 October 1903 in Lambertville; m. Cathryn DeSales FLANNALY (who was b. 9 December 1913 in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania) on 26 June 1954 in Passaic, Passaic County, New Jersey; d. ______
  • Mary Veronica CRUISE, b. 16 December 1905 in Lambertville, m. Samuel Irving WOLDIN on 26 November 1930 in Manhattan, New York City; d. 2 December 1968 in Somerville, Somerset County, New Jersey; bur. in Lake Nelson Memorial Park, Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey.
  • Helen Ann Veonica CRUISE, b. 13 February 1908 in Lambertville; d. 28 February 1908 in Lambertville.
  • Edward Joseph CRUISE, b. 1 March 1909 in Lambertville; and d. the same day.
  • John Robert CRUISE, b. 8 May 1911 in Lambertville; m. Jessie RUBINI (who was b. 3 October ______ in Jamestown, Chatauqua County, New York); d. ______ in Falls Churh, Virginia.
  • Ella Theresa CRUISE (christened as Helen); m. Vincent Joseph SHANNON (who was b. 9 March 1913 in Buffalo, Erie County, New York, and d. 30 November 1996 in Maryland) on 27 July 1963 in Bloomfield, Essex County, New Jersey.

    Mary Veronica CRUISE, b. 16 December 1905 in Lambertville, m. Samuel Irving WOLDIN on 26 November 1930 in Manhattan, New York City; d. 2 December 1968 in Somerville, Somerset, New Jersey; bur. in Lake Nelson Memorial Park, Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey. They had three children:

  • William Sander WOLDIN, m. Yolanda Rose CAMPANELLA. They have a son and two daughters.
  • Bernette Ann WOLDIN, m. Clyde Bieber RUE on 6 September 1956 in Bound Brook.
  • Robert Thomas WOLDIN, m. Barbara Ann WADE and had two daughters (later divorced); m. (2) Rose Marie BARBER.

    IV.

    Bernette Ann WOLDIN, m. Clyde Bieber "Bud" RUE on 6 September 1956 in Bound Brook who d. on 24 October 1993. They had a total of four children:

  • Thomas Scott Rue, m. Carmen Betsabe HERNANDEZ.
  • David Lawrence RUE, m. Kathleen O'LEARY. They have two sons.
  • John Douglas RUE, m. Nina Joan ASRICAN. The have one child.
  • Ella Marie RUE, m. Robert Todd EYET. They have two children.



    V.

    Thomas Scott Rue, m. Carmen Betsabe HERNANDEZ. Their children are:

  • Janesa Eugenia MARTINEZ;
  • Carolina Petrone RUE; and her twin brother:
  • Eduardo Carlos RUE.
